If you are in the unfortunate position to have been exposed to inappropriate conduct and discrimination in your professional environment, you can contact Gerlinda, your confidential counselor. She is there for you, whether you’re an employee, volunteer, freelancer, artist, or anything different. She can be of service when you are experiencing:

*to report misconduct
What does a confidential counselor do?
A confidential counselor initially listens carefully to the person who reaches out. She is there to support you. All conversations are confidential and can take place by phone, via Zoom, Skype, etc. or face to face at a location where you are comfortable.
Support and guidance
The confidential counselor offers practical support and guidance. To be confronted with inappropriate conduct can be traumatic. It may be difficult to think clearly about what has actually happened (to you). Gerlinda is there to help you with that, to together think of possible next steps.
Inform and advise
A confidential counselor also informs you about your options and points out the advantages and disadvantages of a particular approach. This allows you to make a well-considered decision. Again, at your own pace.
Support and assist
The confidential counselor will support and assist you.
Once you have clarified what has happened, together with Gerlinda you can discuss possible next steps. For example, if and how a complaint is registered and how it is expressed, and to discuss the advantages and disadvantages. She will help you with this.
The confidential counselor can accompany you to a meeting with your supervisor or colleague, or at a later stage with a complaints committee.
Find further help
If necessary, the confidential counselor can direct you to other support agencies or mediators. But the main thing is that nothing happens that you don’t want to happen.
